About Us

Help at Home with G was created from something very close to my heart - my lovely Nannie.

My nan lived with Alzheimer's for over 10 years, and throughout that time I was fortunate enough to be involved with supporting her. She was fiercely independent, but being there for her taught me so much about patience, compassion, dignity and the importance of having someone you can rely on.

Sadly, we lost my nan in February 2026. Although losing her has been incredibly difficult, my experience of supporting her inspired me to create something positive, a service where people can receive the kind of practical and personal support that can make such a difference at home.

I also bring 10 years of experience within healthcare, operations and service delivery. This includes 4 years as a healthcare support worker within the community, where I supported people in their own homes, as well as the last 2 years managing and working within discharge and resettlement services.

My experience in community healthcare and discharge services has given me a real understanding of how important the right support at home can be. Returning home after a hospital stay, managing day-to-day life or simply needing a little help can sometimes feel overwhelming. Having someone reliable to provide practical support can make that transition easier, while helping people maintain their independence, confidence and dignity in familiar surroundings.

This is why I created Help At Home With G - to combine my professional experience with my personal values.

We support busy families who need their time back, as well as elderly residents who would benefit from a helping hand at home. From cleaning, shopping,  laundry and ironing and companionship our aim is to provide reliable, respectful and friendly support tailored to each person's individual needs.

Because sometimes people don't just need someone to complete a task.

They need someone who cares, listens and takes the time to be there.
